The Texas Frontier Heritage and Cultural Center™ presents:
CAMPAIGN 2008:

Presidential campaigns are always significant, but when have we had one
as turbulent and unpredictable as this one? The Democrats nominated their
first African-American candidate, after a brusing primary battle with the
outspoken wife of the last Democratic occupant of the White House.
The Republicans nominated a maverick war hero who was predicted to go nowhere
in early polls, and when he did he then chose as his running mate a self-described
“soccer mom” from Alaska. The Surge continued in Iraq. The Russians invaded
Georgia. And at the height of the campaign, the growing subprime mortgage
crisis exploded on Wall Street in possibly the biggest financial meltdown
since 1929.
Confused? Don’t worry — once the returns are in, McMurry professor of political
science and host of the KWKC radio show “The Professors,” Dr. Paul Fabrizio,
will be your host to explain
WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?
