The Texas Frontier Heritage and Cultural Center™
presents:

When one listens to critics of the current or recent presidents, one is struck by how often the charge of corruption is used against the chief executive and his adminis- tration. This talk is a look at America's presidents and corruption and is an attempt to explain that the charges that we see today against President Bush are little dif- ferent than charges that have been laid against presidents all through our history.

Saturday, June 9, 2007
11:00-12:30 PM in the Courthouse
(Where else, for a lecture on politics?)
Admission: $10 (includes light snack)
RSVP by 5:00, June 8: (325) 572-3365

Your Host: Dr. Paul Fabrizio

Paul Fabrizio is a Professor of Political Science at McMurry University and a co-host of “The Professors” radio show on KWKC 1340AM. The radio show is the only locally produced call-in talk radio program in Abilene. Dr. Fabrizio received his B.A. degree from the University of Southern California and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Emory University in Atlanta. All his degrees are in political science but he also has additional graduate education in religion and theology. He is the incoming Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Religion at McMurry. He and his wife, Ginger, a physician’s assistant specializing in oncology, live in Abilene with their two children.

Presidential Corruption will be the seventh lecture in our new Chautauqua Learning Series. The Learning Series is based on the Chautauqua movement which spread throughout the rural United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It provided educational lectures and entertainment for average Americans before the advent of mass media like radio and television. The Texas Frontier Heritage and Cultural Center™ is proud to continue the spirit of that tradition in the unique setting of the Buffalo Gap Historic Village.
