By the turn of the century, the frontier was history. Ranching and farming
were the main occupations in West Texas, and people were beginning to enjoy
the amenities of civilized life.

Doctor's Office
This building was a residential home built on this site during World War
II. It currently houses displays on medical and dental equipment from the
early part of the 20th century. |

Barbershop
A turn-of-the-century collection of barbershop equipment will be found
here.

The Clyde Railroad Depot
This building was built in 1910 and served as the Texas & Pacific Railroad
depot for Clyde, Texas. The second half of this building (the baggage depot)
now serves as the Buffalo Gap Mercantile. |
Blacksmith Shop
This building is a replica of a blacksmith shop built in 1905 in Snyder,
Texas. Many of the tools on display are from the Joeris Blacksmith Shop
that was in Abilene. On special occasions, we have had professional blacksmiths
some in to fire up the works. |

Village Gallery
This structure is not what it appears. The interior has been remodeled
into a comfortable meeting room for lectures or presentations. |

Wagon Barn
This building contains items related to agricultural and domestic life
at the turn of the century, from carriages to curling irons. |
